This Privacy Policy explains how we collect and process personal data of visitors and customers of the TruckStop24 parking facility, in accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (Regulation (EU) 2016/679, "GDPR") and Portuguese law, in particular Lei n.º 58/2019 of 8 August, which implements the GDPR in the Portuguese legal order.

2. What personal data we collect
We collect only the data you provide to us, mainly through our online booking request form. This includes:
- Name - so we can identify and address you.
- Phone number / WhatsApp - so we can contact you about your booking request.
- Email address (optional) - an alternative way to contact you.
- Vehicle registration (plate number) - to identify the vehicle and manage access to the parking.
- Vehicle type and quantity - to allocate a suitable space.
- Dates - the arrival and (optional) departure dates of your stay.
- Notes - any additional information you choose to add to your request.
If you visit our premises, your image may also be recorded by our CCTV video-surveillance system (see section 3).
3. Purposes and legal basis
We process your personal data for the following purposes, each with its own legal basis under Article 6(1) GDPR:

4. Recipients and processors
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with service providers that help us operate, and only as needed:
- Hosting - our website is hosted on the Cloudflare platform, which processes technical data needed to deliver the site.
- Booking notifications - when you send a booking request, the details are delivered to us as a notification via Telegram so our team can respond.
- Customer contact - we may contact you, or you may contact us, via WhatsApp.
Transfers outside the EU/EEA. Some of these services (in particular Telegram and WhatsApp) may involve the transfer or processing of personal data outside the European Union / European Economic Area. Where that happens, appropriate safeguards apply (such as adequacy decisions or standard contractual clauses) to protect your data in line with the GDPR. You can contact us for more information about these safeguards.
5. How long we keep your data
- Booking-request data is kept for up to 24 months, or deleted earlier at your request, once it is no longer needed to manage your stay.
- Invoicing and accounting data is kept for the periods required by Portuguese tax and accounting law.
- CCTV footage is kept only for a short period and then overwritten, unless it is needed to investigate a specific incident.
6. Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to:
- Access - obtain confirmation of whether we process your data and a copy of it.
- Rectification - have inaccurate or incomplete data corrected.
- Erasure - ask us to delete your data ("right to be forgotten").
- Restriction - ask us to limit how we use your data.
- Portability - receive your data in a structured, commonly used, machine-readable format.
- Objection - object to processing based on our legitimate interests.
- Withdraw consent - where processing is based on consent, withdraw it at any time (this does not affect processing already carried out).

If you believe we have not handled your personal data correctly, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Portuguese supervisory authority, the CNPD - Comissão Nacional de Proteção de Dados (the national data protection authority for Portugal). You can reach the CNPD at www.cnpd.pt.
7. Cookies and tracking
This website does not use tracking cookies or advertising cookies, and it does not build advertising profiles about you. Any analytics we use is privacy-friendly and cookieless (Cloudflare Web Analytics), which measures aggregate traffic without storing cookies or personal identifiers on your device. For this reason, no cookie consent banner is required.
Conditional note. If in the future we embed an interactive map (for example, Google Maps) on the site, that third-party service may set its own cookies. If we add such a feature, we will update this policy and, where required, ask for your consent before those cookies are set.
8. Security, automated decisions and changes
Security measures
We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data against unauthorised access, loss, alteration or disclosure, and we limit access to your data to people who need it to do their work.
No automated decision-making
We do not make decisions about you based solely on automated processing, and we do not carry out profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects on you.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "last updated" date at the top of this page and publish the revised version here. We encourage you to review it periodically.
